VNET’s roots in Erie go back decades. Long before VNET Fiber brought fiber internet to local homes, VNET was helping businesses and organizations throughout the region use technology to connect, communicate, and operate more effectively.
In 2017, VNET expanded that experience into residential fiber internet with the launch of VNET Fiber.
Since then, we have continued investing in our fiber-optic infrastructure and expanding service into additional Erie County communities.
Today, VNET Fiber service is available to nearly 25,000 homes across Erie County, with more areas coming online as our network continues to grow.

VNET Fiber delivers internet using a fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) network.
Fiber-optic technology uses light traveling through glass fiber to carry data at extremely high speeds. Because VNET Fiber’s residential network is fiber-optic, customers can receive symmetrical upload and download speeds, providing the performance needed for streaming, gaming, working from home, video calls, connected devices, and everything else today’s households do online.
